I saw another tutorial where a guy does 3 slides instead of 1 for the guitar intro which still sounds alright, but we know how Edge leverages the delay sound to work for him, and you shouldn't have to add more notes than is necessary. A nicely put together tutorial for a fairly technical song!

This is an old demo, but for anyone browsing for one of these amps, the Supro '64 Reverb has a mix line out that you can run into the IR device of your choice and get really great tone at reasonable volume. Yes, 5 watts is still very very loud, generating 100+ dB. I experimented running the mix line out into my strymon iridium with the amp sim off and have gotten outstanding results. Truly killer. Of course, there are many other options if you want just a pure amp sim and IR (Friedman IRX, etc.). but if you also want a cool little amp, it can do the modeling thing too.

So this goes before or after the getaway pedal?

I’m in the process of shopping for a new guitar. Sold my strat. I’m torn between the Gretsch electro magic 5420t and the Epiphone Les Paul 59 standard. I play a lot of acoustic, old country and folk. I also love to play a lot of punk rock green day, living end, but also into grunge, 90s pop rock like third eye blind, love the 80s stuff ,particularly U2, cure, clash, cult, inxs. I also grew up on zeppelin and like the old blues rock. No idea which way to go….any thoughts?

Wow. That's a bass pedal? Sounds great on guitar. Great tube-crunch. I wish someone out there would do a blind test between expensive tube heads and these compact pedals.
